Red Sox Prepare to Visit City of Angels

Today's rainout gives the Red Sox a Sunday doubleheader to conclude the regular season and prepare for their postseason matchup with the Angels that begins on Wednesday in Anaheim. The Angels were given their choice of which series format they wanted to play (basically they chose whether they wanted to start on Tuesday or Wednesday), and they chose the extra day of rest to allow a 3 man rotation to be used in the series if they wanted to take that approach.

Most fans of sports are aware of the "Curse Of Babe Ruth", which loomed over the boston Red Sox franchise for decades. Some lived their entire lives believing in its existence. Those who don't believe in curses rationalize the reasons for the lack of championships by the Red Sox were either due to teams unlucky, not good enough, or a combination of both. You knew it was only a matter of time. You knew that the young kids on the defending Champ boston Red Sox would raise to the occasion. You knew that the little short kid ith chip on his shoulder would come up big time. You knew thatRays would fold quicker than Hurricane Hannah.
